When we look at the ancient culture of church it was their custom to provide food to needy, orphan, widow and less fortunate people. Jesus Christ throughout his missionary life took care of his people and always fed the hungry with food. It is written in the bible “Whoever has two tunics is to share with him who has none, and whoever has food is to do likewise”. Following the footsteps of early church and Jesus Christ the church of Pentecost Pakistan has started a free meal program known as the Lord’s Table (LANGER). This is the first ever church in Pakistan who provides free meal to approximately 200 people every day without any discrimination of religion, caste, gender, economic status or ethnicity. Our local community has been motivated a lot through this positive step of charity and they come and donate a lot of food to the Lord’s Table. They celebrate their happiness in form of giving food to the church and hence gaining abundance of God’s kingdom.
